DMV failure to forward requested change of address to Registrar of Voters as requested on form…Perhaps you could ask folks on your travels if they have completed a change of address at their local DMV to check with their Registrar of Voters to see is the change has been made…Thanks and have a wonderful trip!!!

Question or comment:I recently completed a change of address at the Redding, CA DMV. On that form is an area to request that the Registrar of Voters be notified of the change. The form was completed on 8-8-09. I was informed by a staff member at the Shasta County, Registrar of Voters that our address change did not process. My question is: If this process was not completed, would my husband and I have been locked out of the presidential elections for failing to provide a change of address in time to vote? Would we have been able to vote at our previous address polling station? This is of great concern to me and my husband as it could affect the out come of several pressing issues we feel greatly about, not to mention being locked out of a presidential election.
